Fox flushing and terrier work

Fox flushing and terrier work is a cruel hunting tradition that cannot be justified nowadays (when it is possible to hunt with firearms). During this practice foxes and badgers are digged out from their burrows, especially during their rearing period. They are killed or captured for later use in hunting hounds training. This is a very drastic method in which dog and fox (badger) clash and fight to the death. This poses huge danger, high levels of stress and severe and painful injuries not only for the hunted animal, but also for the hunting hound. Flushing is connected to hound training, which is executed with wild animals kept for this purpose in captivity, and flushing and terrier work hunting tests, in which there are excessive level of stress placed on the used foxes. We consider this behavior an anachronism that causes great suffering to animals.
